Home for the Holidays – Christmas Mini Sessions {Dallas Fort Worth Family Photography}

It’s that time of year again – time to celebrate faith and family. These family mini sessions will be held outside in local parks in both Southlake and Colleyville. Sessions start at 4:00 and have 20 minute time slots until 5:20.

We had a great time this past Saturday. Beautiful morning weather and the kids couldn’t have been cuter. Here’s a few from our “In the Pumpkin Patch” mini session. Mark your calendars for next year! This is sure to be an annual event.

And I even got to get a really special one for me. This is my son and his best guy friend. They are a month apart in age and have known each other since birth. It’s amazing how they have grown!

What to Wear – Fall/Winter Family {Southlake, TX Family Photographer}

So many times people ask me what they should wear or how to coordinate their family for portraits. Most of the time, especially in the studio, simple is best because we want to see you and not necessarily your clothes. But, I do love texture in clothes, and showcasing your unique style. So that means, don’t have everyone in the same thing – way too matchy matchy.

When we are outside, layer it up. It adds contrast and interest to the portrait and you can take off some layers to have a totally different look. Women, if you can, wear a little heal. They give our bodies just a little more movement and length. Have jewelry on but don’t let it overwhelm you. A great pair of earrings or a fabulous necklace or great scarf may be all you need.

This past week we took Miss Emme and her big brother out for a couple of shots. Aren’t they adorable! And man that girl can move! I just love taking shots of Mr. Blake. He’s just so handsome and at 5, actually likes his picture taken. Imagine that! LOL. These two are always so well dressed in THE cutest clothes.

Oh my gosh this little guy is absolutely adorable! Just take a look at that Gerber baby face. We had so much fun on Friday, but Daddy couldn’t make it, so I promised a little sneak peek just for him. There will be several more pictures of baby Cooper to come after they have seen them all – he’s just too cute not to share!

This little girl just keeps getting cuter and cuter! This is her second session in the Watch Me Grow program. I also got to photograph her as a "Pod" and a "Pea". I just love watching the little ones grow from the very beginning!

We got so many amazing pictures of Emersen. We actually were shooting for 2 hours! She was just so happy and easy going and her mom brought so many cute outfits and hats that I couldn't resist :>).

Mom, I can't wait for you to see all of them, but here are a few of my favorites.
